I have mare that I originally bought as sj for my daughter. My daughter lost interest and I took her on she has really settled from stressy nervous horse , I enjoy our hacks and schooling.I do like to jump but hate competing infront of people and I am 49 and didnt start sj til 48  .I have competed up to 85cm but have lost my confidence a bit and she is not a easy ride at all.Her previous owner/loaner who is now on my yard and is good friend has affilliated her and first time out she came second to her horse. This horse enjoys sj but is very sharp .
I have mixed feelings on her sj although completely trust friend .I previously had horse that was constantly injured and cant bear idea of her being broken.
Anyone else out there that prefers to watch and happy for someone else to compete their horse.:o

If you trust them then great :)
I think its good that there are people out there who like to see their horse being ridden by others and are happy to see others enjoying the horse (please note, in now way do I disrespect people who dont like there horses being ridden by someone else!!)
Its also good for those riders who dont have their own means of competing (because of money or something), to be given the chance to do it.
At the moment I can barely afford the car let alone a horse, so the only way I get to ride is schooling a friends horse once a week (she just asked me last week, hopefully that will continue :D) and being a sharer 2 days with another lady- if it wasnt for the owners of the horses I ride giving me the chance, I wouldnt be able to ride (I still want more riding but i'm gratefull for the 2/3 days a week I have!)
Well my point is, everyone wins.

Its definitely my horse that makes me wary.I jumped another friends horse today and she was so easy a real confidence giver.Mine is extremely tricky but also worth all the hard work I have put into her.If she hadnt been passed around so much in her early years I would consider something more sensible but cant bear the thought of her going from home to home again.

A friend of mine who is highly experianced is taking mine round a BN next month.

Purly because I dont feel im quite there confidence wise yet, and im hoping that if i see her do well then that will encourage me to just go for it. It also gives Jazz a better start to BS as i wont be messing it up! :D
