Anyone else horse just not happy being out overnight?

Funny how the individual thing came up 🤣 not by you initially HF.

No hate intended to anyone else either but as said several times….

WE CANNOT HAVE HERDS 🤣🤣
End of…
It is a very private estate. Not huge and not huge fields.

It is only me and my friend and she has 5 horses split to separate fields, I have one and a half that needs to be managed for lami!!

So no amount of saying about herds is helpful 🤣 and even if I could, I wouldnt because I aint having vet bills cause by someone elses horse or vice versa ..

Each to their own but seriously look above on the thread, Orbi is not the only one that likes to come in… And im not moving yards as there is zero yards in south ayrshire and what is there is individual turnout. Or crap grazing. Or generally crap people 🤣

So, Orbi likes his bed, he likes a good lay down and a snooze, he is very chilled.
Last year I managed most of the summer keeping him out overnight and only in on bad nights etc. it was a struggle for the first few nights but he settled into it.

This year, he is hating it. He is not liking being out overnight, his whole demeanour changes. He has plenty of friends but he is not fussed with them.

He seemed off on Thursday morning so of course it sends you into panic mode so I gave him his breakfast and went to work. When I came back at 2pm. He was just as miserable. So I put him in..,, panic mode enabled to 100 by this point so went and checked on him at 7 pm and he was sound asleep laying down in his bed. Checked again at 9 and munching hay happily.

Next morning and ever since he has been absolutely fine, back to his normal self.
We have had terrible constant rain for 2.5 days now. So he was in all day yesterday and he was happy as Larry..

Anyone elses horses not fussed in going out overnight.
Please stop using my horses name in vain lol 😉

Mine have always loved being outside but if your fields have dried up like ours have then I'm not surprised he fancies bed and breakfast as the better option lol

We are still soaking wet here but need sun to make the grass grow so… kinda stuck lol

I moved for better hacking/services, this seemed to be a by product, 1st summer mostly in, last summer out more and he's been out fo rmonths this year!
I couldnt get better than ive got, i have the perfect set up, perfect field, perfect amazing hacking. 6 m x 6 m stable not feet , yes metres! And I look after the yard for the owner so.. nothing better to be honest 😍

Its people on here that have a problem with my individual turnout. 🤣🤣 its hilarious because neither Orbi or myself do 🤣🤣🤣

My horse is in at night and he is not bothered being in at all
He does a lot better as he gets a break from the weather and flies. He also hates the rain and as long as he knows his buddies are in too, he's happy.
