As above. I have & now since it hasn't rained, I'm feeling a little bit guilty.

But I did spend ages making their beds nice & cosy.

Still out & will be staying out. They've got a field shelter which they use & only come in overnight if the weather's truly awful.

Just this second been down to check & both are toasty in summer turnouts.

Mine is out, mw rug and is very happy, I've have only got another month of her being out at night as yard policy they all have to be in at night 1 oct, so rain or not she is out until then. She does come in during the day though.

2 are in. 1 because i have to keep his foot clean and the other 1 in next stable to keep him company! 2 are out, the hardy ones who could do with losing a few pounds!

Don't be soft! they won't shrink and it is not cold. It is only September toughen them up for what will no doubt be worse later this year!

toughen them up??!!!..........mine will be fully clipped and be wearing several rugs by the time it is cold!!!........

Truth be told, if she werent so hairy I would probably leave her out, but it is in my interests not to let her fluff up too much!

Mine both stay out 24/7 in the Summer with a rug on if totally necassary. They have a huge field shelter this winter, so although they'd usually go in, i'm keeping them out and rugged up this winter. They both use the shelter and once strawed up its snug and cosy, just like a stable but with more freedom.

I also cut of more than half the paddock at night so that grazing is limited. This avoids them getting chunky whilst also gives the majority of the field a rest.

mine are coming in now at nights and now only go out if it is nice now. I wish I could leave them out but Sid drops weight at the drop of a hat and he is currently looking ok and I would like to keep him that way. The other reason is that I have really crap TB feet so cannot afford for them to loose shoes when the field gets sticky. Ru probably would be fine out as she seems a little hardier ( but only just) but then both go mad if they are split up so it is simpler to have them both in

i brought mine in yesterday in day and today in day.
not been too bad rain wise at night and they have rain sheets, shelters and haynets out.
glad they are in in day though as field is quite bare and if they trot round it will just cream it!
