Anyone else lost their motivation in this continual rain

Definitely having a motivation blip. Hanging gates in horizontal rain (and I swear what wasn't going sideways was going up'ards as well as down'ards!). Now they're done it's time to replace the 24 posts the blighters took out. Looking on the bright side, at least the ground is soft :D

I haven't ridden in weeks due to total lack of motivation, the weather & my pony being footy on the stones in the forestry where we hack - due to standing out on wet ground making his soles soft (he's out 24/7) so I've just left it. So frustrating as I can only ride him until April time when his pollen allergy kicks in! Seems like even this winter has been stolen from me :(

To add insult I have now come down with an horrendous head cold!! I'm just about managing to do the horses but have a terrible thick head and cough and it's giving me a headache and I have no energy at all .It is now day 4 .Been up to the pharmacist who has sorted me out but it's rest and hydration so can't see me doing anything other than basic horse care.Fortunately it's all setup for easy work.
think I'll pick up working horses when we get back from our winter holiday in the Caribbean in February for now I'll just be doing horse care.
Weather hasn't improved much but the horses are happy now I'm in my 60sO don't bounce back as quickly as I my youth!

Different problem but same frustration. No rain just non stop smoke in Sydney from the 130 fires burning in NSW.

Asthma is through the roof. 20 times the level of pollution considered safe. Can’t ride as it too dangerous for horses to be exercised in these conditions.

Photos from my office overlooking Sydney harbour on a normal day vs now

Its been horrendous inland as well. Just lightened up a bit over the last 24 hours thankfully, but more smoke forecast to come in. I think I would rather floods than fires, but totally understand where all the UK'ers are coming from, can't win!

I feel really sorry for the folks in the fires of Australia and the people digging out their ponies from the snow in Iceland. The weather is so topsy turvey.
take care everybody.

getting a couple out almost daily and having just bought a new horse my frustration is going through the roof with the weather as I just want to ride him lots.

I think the rain is great. I see the pics of Sydney etc and I am so grateful for the rain. The alternative there and in Iceland doesn't bear thinking about.
Hope the Aus. people and their horses stay safe.

I have ridden most days this week. Although it is just a walk as the ground is so wet. Was planning to ride today but the fog was so thick i didnt think it was safe.
