Anyone else need rugs made of steel!!!

The lil sod has ripped the front buckles of his rug!! don't ask me how, probably something to do with the fact he is so careless about everything and up to no good as usual!
I only repaired the big rip he put in it at the weekend!

Please pony could you just be more careful or ill leave you out naked!!!! ;-) hehe!!

It's so annoying isn't it! My foal is constantly jumping on his mum's back and ripping her rugs, I tried to repair it myself last time but that patch lasted less than a day so back to expensive clean and repair at the saddlery.

The only rug he hasn't managed to rip is a really thick Masta check tech one but that's too hot for her to wear unless it's really cold!

My 2yo has a actually bent one of the metal fasteners on his stable rug. I have no idea how!
Am resigned to using tough, non pretty rugs on him for the forseeable...his turnouts are all cast offs from my mare so it won't hurt me so much when he rips them....recommend Rhino (expensive but very tough) or Shires for thugs.

If its a decent rug it is worth having it repaired properly otherwise it will just keep tearing in the same place until its ruined beyond repair. Some horses are worse than others for rug wrecking.

My 3 year old has trashed 3 rugs in a week. God know what she is doing but I just give up. Could do with one made of chainmail
