Decided to ride later on at 3 o clock and enjoy the peaceful roadss that te england match ahs left us with, :D with no eejit drivers speeding around the country lanes, and hartlebury common almost empty i can just potter around at my own speed :) cant wait :P

Yep, having a lesson at 3.30 so grooming/tacking up at that time. Stuff the football, quality time with my girly is far more important :D

I thought about it, but it was already getting hot when I lunged Murph at 8.15 so think it might be baking by 3 so a bit unfair to take him out, shame really cos our roads are not often quiet.

How funny! I am so not interested and switched off to any man sport that I came in to read this post wondering why 3 o/clock? Total disruption to my life - not!

I was tempted to wait until 3, but then I looked at the forecast and rode at 7am instead...

But have a peaceful ride all who are out and about then!:)

I am so jealous :(

I will be stuck at work. Everyone else at work has planned to knock off early to go and watch the football but TBH, I'd rather carry on working...

The ned is a 2 hour drive away so not really feasible for me unfortunately.

Hope you all enjoy the lovely weather and peaceful roads!

I'm worried it will be too hot here at 3pm? I'll ride at 8pm. Neither me nor my horse like it too hot :)

I rode during the England, Algeria match, and it was awesome. I had the horsetrack around our local park completely to myself, and for the first time this year it was safe to gallop round.

Yerss!! Hopefully will be in the middle of some super open ground, or more probably if its hot, will be sauntering along in the woods with a stream bubbling away beside - super!

Stuff the football, its about as exciting as watching paint dry; give the whole England team a good 10 mins of sitting trot without stirrups and see how they coped with that!! Wot a bunch of losers.

Also stuck at work (lunch break now). Have fun anyone that is riding at 3pm and think about us poor workers stuck here looking at the sunshine all day long and unable to get out there with our neddies.

Hope the weather cools down a bit further as I'm now also riding a friends horse (she's stuck helping out at show!) but looking forward too it :) I'm hoping the yards nice and quiet tbh... :p

I wish, I'm stuck at work because I'm not interested in football and so "won't mind staying on" while everyone else goes home to watch football! Yeah, because THATS how it works.

Although mentally, I shall be cheering on Slovenia ;)

No sorry to let you guys down! - But not through choice! We're back on box rest (again) until the vet comes down (again) on Friday! Spent 3 hours bathing her and fussing her today though, so I suppose I should show willing and watch our team fail miserably :p or is that me being pessimistic?

I plan to head to the yard when hubby gets home, settle him with a beer. As its very hot I plan to poo pick, sit under a tree watching my boy, bit of itching and scratching (Archie, not me) and then when it cools down get in, groom, tack up and head off into the sunset.

I love this football malarky .... don't feel guilty at all heading off to the yard knowing my hubby is occupied and happy x

haha well going with what you all said, as the weather did seem to be gettin warmer, off i went to the yard to ride before the clouds unleashed the sun.
wish i hadnt now though, fell off and badly hurt myself lol,
oh well :)

Oh Caitlin, are you OK? I have decided it's too hot for horsey stuff, am going to Costco while it's quiet! Might get some chicken for a hot curry!
