With this rain, rain, rain.

My fields are under water, can't even get out to poo pick - would need snorkel, flippers and a boat. Everywhere is mud and more mud, local bridleways are all churned up, will try and have a plod out round the roads later. How's everyone else doing? Bet there is a drought warning later on in the year as well.

Yep same here. Supposed to be going eventing in 2 weeks as well and it's not looking good

Surely the rain has to stop soon...?!

Feel like crying am so fed up with it. The paddock is like a ploughed field with water everywhere. Looking at the weather forecast today it seems like there is no end in sight either

My whole yard looks a mess at the mo, but it's hard to summon the enthusiasm to do stuff at this time of year. Everything looks worse than it is when the weather's like this.

I am also fed up because my horse is long term sick & can't make his mind up if he's going to get better or get put down, I've had enough of my job but need it to pay our huge mortgage & the house is in the worst mess you've ever seen, like a cross between a B4 on 'homes under the hammer' and a B4 of 'the filth files' cos we're renovating. :-(

field resembles a paddy field, and as for poo picking well forget it no chance of getting barrow in the field. Well ok could get it in but would never get it out again especially if full of poo

Lands holding up pretty well but this weather doesnt encourage you to get out there and do anything. All's not lost, the clocks go forward in a couple of weeks. I for one am determined to make the most of this summer

Think this is the wettest winter for several years - we have duck weed growing in the ruts by the gate in summer field. Fields are very wet and yesterday could only do a walk on the bridleway as it was very muddy and wet.

I personally can only spend so much time in the school before needing to hack out.

Starting to teach Chancer turns on the forehand and leg yielding on the long reins to give me something new to think about.

Another 3 months and we will be moaning it is too dry and hot.

Field looks like a boating lake, horses turn and look at me when I turn them out as if to say - you must be joking! - still at least they are still getting turned out though.
Got to get better soon!

seems like you lot have some of the rain that was meant for me

.It hasnt rained here (properly) since October, I think! My neds have been unrugged since the end of December and are rolling in the dry!!! A quick dandy and all that they bring home just evaporates. God love us when the summer comes as no snow (and we havent had any) = no water. Im running the serious risk of having the firebrigade bring me cisterns of water and watering all with buckets

Please, please send me lots of rain before its too late! mairi.

Its peeing down here again

Could only walk hack today as the fields are so boggy, haven't turned out my new horse at all yet as I don't want her trashing my field (if I trash it I will pay the price all summer).

I think for once i am lucky being in scotland as its been quite dry in st andrews for once! bar some drizzle this morning. i feel very out the loop with the rain!

We were out hacking last week and my boy sunk and struggled to get out again

He was lame for 4/5 days, and he wouldn't work from behind or do trotting poles today, so I just walked him round the block as he must be quite sore

Def fed up with the rain - kept me awake the other night - and one of my neddies has mud fever - tried "sportabac Boots" but just creeps under - shall we all gather up and do an "ANTI RAIN DANCE" somewhere!!

Yer am soooooooooooo sick of mud. And wet EVERYWHERE!!!! Its gross the horses go out and come back in looking like they've been swimming in the pond. Awful. Only consolation is that we've got an arena and the clocks change in a few weeks - was hoping to chuck them out 24/7 but not sure if we'll be able to cos its so wet!

It's not too bad with us at all actually. And only yesterday I was thinking how we'd got away with it again weather wise.

Fields are pretty good, and the weather's not been bad either really.

So all in all not fed up at all.
