I was led to believe we were having a summer this year

. I can already predict cancelled shows. AND i've started painting my horses stable and now he's going to have to come back in tonight halting any paint progress

. I could also do without the strong winds meaning i can't ride one of my idiot horses. I'm thinking a move to the south of france

We are about as far south as you can get in the UK - no rain (other than a few spots) in days, although last week it poured down!

I have been sunbathing in the field while I was waiting for the water trugs to fill up.

i dont want anymore rain.. im going to the beach this weekend! god help me! and then i have camp and the last time it was very wet was the week after the floods in 2007.. that was far from fun! so it better not be a wet summer!!
this morn i went to get barney into ride with the dogs...i got out there and it poured and poured i had caught him and hes difficult to catch so i didnt want to let him go... so i stood there and i was drenched

I'm in Canterbury and my fields are looking quite yellow!! Not had any proper rain for weeks and weeks!! Fly repellent on horses twice a day, full fly rugs and fly masks!! Car read 26 degrees yesterday!! Sorry to make anyone jealous!!

I know saturday was awful - i was camping in the new forest and got compleatly soaked

I'm in a village just outside worthing, where abouts are you?

TBH I prefer this to the stifling sweltering heat/humidity we had a couple of weeks back - poor horses being bitten to death by flies and I couldn't sleep as too hot!

Hehe, this'll sound crazy- but bring on the rain, soften up the ground! Rather ground bit soggy than too hard, you need loads of rain to soften up hard ground but only a little sun/wind to dry it out again!

We've are having a crazy mixture of sunshine and downpours. My grey is having a terrific time getting COVERED in mud, EVERY day!

What rain? Here in West Yorks, we are getting a showers of rain.... not enough to generate quantities of mud, but enough for the grass to keep growing.
