I am waiting for tickets to two events (1 x showjumping and 1 x dressage) and have not heard anything. Just wondering whether this is typical. I am getting a little antsy.

Not sure if its much help but i'm a postie and have been delivering some every day for the last week or so, had quite a few today and expect there are still more to come!

Thanks for the replies. It's reassuring to know that others are also still waiting. I shall work on my patience skills over the next few weeks.:D

They aren't personalised but the T&C's with them say you can only sell them through their www or give them away to family or friends and when they are used the original owner has to provide a contact number so that the ticket office will confirm you gave them away - how will that work i wonder???

We are free to go, but I stupidly hadn't looked into getting there, I thought there would be coaches and stuff going from certain places, but it I can't find a way to get there without involving a nightmare journey there and back and OH and I aren't sure if we can face it- saddos that we are!

I think train from Southampton to Clapham might be your best option. My OH and I will try and stay with friends in Clapham the night before. Not sure if this is an option for you.

Anglebracket, I got an email a couple of days before I received mine, hope yours come soon.

So that does happen then. Thanks for letting me know.

Yes they have your name on them, I got a text to say they were on their way. It says in the letter that you can pass them onto friends aslong as you are contactable on the day to confirm if necessary.

Does anyone know what happens if you are not in to sign for them? Is it like a normal parcel where it just gets sent to the sorting office or not?

Yes they do have the buyers name on them in very small print left hand side

Thanks, just being nosy really, we do intend to use ours.

I was under the impression that you needed to sign for it. Someone in a previous thread mentioned that they "picked up" their tickets. This to me implies that they do go back to the sorting office if delivery fails.

Yeah ours came 2 weeks ago, we weren't in but picked them up at the sorting office the next day

Not got my tickets yet but has anyone decided how they're going to get to Greenwich? We'll be coming up to Waterloo from Guildford. Has anyone got travel plans in place to travel from Waterloo/Clapham? Got a feeling it's going to be a nightmare!!

^ same problem / train line and my lack of sense of direction doesn't help! At the moment I'm thinking jubilee line from waterloo to canary wharf then change to the DLR down to greenwich but shall be checking it with some of the more London savvy peeps in the office :)

EDIT: & forgot the important part that I got the text yesterday saying they were going to delivery the tickets, was at work of course but picked them up this morning ... seat for the dressage in row 34 - anybody got some binoculars and how many rows are there if that's a band B ticket?? But impressed with my row 1 for the sprint canoe, only wish it was the other way round!!

~Why not just stay on the train at Waterloo and go straight to Greenwich? Easiest thing surely?

My dressage eventing ones have come. Still waiting for my SJ eventing ones

Same as ^^^ (sorry not mastered multiquoting!)

Go to Waterloo and then get on a Greenwich train from Waterloo? You can walk across to Waterloo East from the station and that takes you all the way.
