is anyone actually thinking about clipping there horses yet? Rose is getting very hot when working and is shedding like crazy. So the clippers will be coming out tomorrow and its all going!
Anyone else thinking of clipping already?

Did my cob last week and he's much better for it. Think I'll clip all summer next year.

Yes, i will do it in oct/nov then a nice rug not too warm and he shouldnt grow much hair over winter, well thats whats happened over the last few years anyway, saves clipping again before summer when you want to ride.

Yay!! There's something about it which I find quite therapeutic (minus the noise!!) and rewarding. Everybody hates clipping on the yard which means more for me

am keeping half an eyeball on the boys and daring them to even grow a single winter length hair!
we didnt have to clip Fig at all last year as he didnt grow any winter coat and CS didnt need doing until the end of Oct so i reckon ive got another 2 months of feeling smug before the torture begins.
Bruce is getting hairy already but not in any form of work, hacking in walk about twice a week so not getting hot. I think he will prob warrant a low trace clip once he's got a full coat, again hoping that wont be until the end of Oct.
