Anyone else trying to get tickets

I have managed to request dressage tickets. Have a confirmation number - don't know if that means I will actually get them this time?
Hope you manage to get some.

I did the same, purchased the tickets, filled in payments details and it crashed. I've also got confirmation number so I'm assuming the application has been successful and its the payment that's the problem. If so, hopefully they'll do what they did last time and email people if they can't get payment.

Fingers crossed anyway as I can't get back into my account!

I got in pretty quickly but the site crashed when I clicked submit. After much refreshing, I got my confirmation at 622am. Hope I have been quick enough. I applied for Friday dressage at £65 and football (for colleagues). Be gutted if I get the footie but was too late for dressage!

Oh and I don't think they take payment yet, that happens in July once the window has closed and they work out who applied first

I read on the info that they will let you know if you have been successful in 24/48 hours by email and then payment will be early July.

If I view my application then I can't get more tickets for dressage because I already have some. If I view my account I don't have any! Frustrated, very.

I have tried save and log out and will try again later

I tried too, got a confirmation number, but was a bit slow as I didn't have 'verified by visa' set up for the credit card so had to through all that rigmerole. Said processing failed, but when I (finally) checked my account I have a confirmation number. Wonder if that means I've been successful? Uuugh!

Oh I see, so they didn't stop 'taking orders' when all the available tickets for an event had been ordered. How unprofessional :( and here was me thinking I might have actually got some. Silly me. Oh well have to wait and see...

I forgot but have just looked and no showjumping tickets left so I won't be bothering! Looks like olympics on TV for me then! Not been impressed with the way this process has been from the outset to be honest. My sister managed to get soem tickets in the first ballot but doesn't know what they're for yet.

Agree Ladyt. The process so far has been a bit of a mess. I have tickets but yet to know what for. I just have this feeling that it will be like easyjet. Sorry mate the stadium is full as we sold more tickets than we actually had in the hope people wouldnt turn up....you will have to come back tomorrow and join the queue...

I'm not even going to try - surely the tickets I wanted are sold out as I didn't get them in the first place & there was a reason why I didn't apply for the more expensive ones!!!

'Currently unavailable' has been showing for all equestrian disciplines since first thing this a m. This is a disgrace - I originally applied only to fail, now this second chance is also a FAIL.

Hmmmm. Does not seem like much is available apart from Greco-Roman Wrestling(whatever that may be) and Football. Oh, well - has anyone else had any luck with tickets this morning? Yet friends of mine who live abroad have manged to get tickets ages ago.

This is exactly what happened to me so I'm assuming that means its been completed successfully. Just got to wait 48 hrs now to find out!

No luck for me either will have to hope some will be available nearer the time during the re-sale.

Yeah, it's annoying that people in other countries seem to have got them easier - wish I'd thought of that. Some guy in the UK went on the to German site just after they went on sale and bought his the 'normal' way - ie, select said ticket(s), put in to shopping basket and then go to 'checkout'. I have no idea why our system could not have been like that from the outset. It could have restricted the amount of tickets of amount of money per card/application and people could have bought them as they do for other things like concerts etc. Sure, getting Take That tickets and the like can be frustrating when everyone tries at once, but I would rather have sat online for a while trying than having to sit in a ballot and not get anything.

Had lunch with someone who originally applied for £11,000 worth of tickets across practically all the events. They ended up with 4 x tickets for the synchronised swimming. Divine justice or did the ballot people have a sense of humour?! :D
