So, you know after the last drive, in the wagon on the way back, and your dog falls asleep leaning on you, and everyone says what a quiet evening you'll be having...?

Well, does anyone else have a dog that instantly recovers from this, and gets home and goes a bit bonkers for a while?! I don't know where he gets the energy from, but he's only just finished remodelling his bed, and I suspect he'll start again in a minute...:p

This dog isn't right!:D

Like so...

I'm not certain, but I suspect that the frantic behaviour of some dogs, post exercise is because they've stung either, or both, their skin and or their pads. My dogs are fine until they get in the back of the car, then all hell's let loose. All 3 or 4 digging at the rubber matting makes a mother of a din, so that 'phone conversations are interspersed with "FFS. OI. SHUT UP"!! When they get home, then the digging continues in their kennels. We've a 5 month old lurcher pup, indoors, and when he comes in wet, he has to be shut in my office for 10 minutes; his bed, the contents, my boots, shoes, anything that he can get hold of, is thrown about!

I think he was nettled a bit, but I'd already put bicarbonate of soda onto his paws to try and help ( the littles ones coming through are evil!) - he still had to have a mad though. He is comatose now though :) As well he might be, there were only four dogs out today (plus a pup out to see the sights for a drive), one of them was with a gun, and another went home at lunchtime... So he has been one busy little spaniel!

I was going to say do you think it is hot feet! But like a child he is overtired and overexcited, what a lucky spangle, he must have had a fab day.
