Anyone elses dogs eat cleavers?

Mine bring them home in their coats and spend hours picking them out. One eats them the other spits them out and the other one eats them too

My dog Hattie loves cleavers and sniffs it out, the other 2 don't touch it and prefer grass. Pru has a taste for dandelion flowers, we jokingly call her Pru Fearnley whittingstall as she's usually foraging about for something to eat, though don't think river cottage will be adding various animal's poo to their menu anytime soon.

Are cleavers also known as sticky iack? I've been pulling it up today from the garden.

Bear removes and eats any dandelions and nettles I pull out. The youngsters cleared the lawn of dandelions one year.

yes mine cant get enough of them...I was a bit worried and googled it and it was used medicinally many years ago so I decided it was ok for them to eat...

Horses love them too!

Yes, my two pick it out of the field........ apparently they're good for Sweet Itch horses, also I saw a bottle of some in a health food shop, sold as an "indigestion remedy". Our old dog was always picking it out of the hedges, he was very particular about the bit of it he wanted, it was the leaves and not the stems and he'd spend ages peeling it all away with his teeth, bless him.
