anyone else having this issue!

yeah mine seems to think she is a 5yr old jogs everywhere, runs sideways down the middle of the road, actually the only thing she doesnt do is spook.

Kombikids - mine is exactly the same (energy-fueled nightmare) - except he has been having turnout. The 1st day he has been in is today.
He was galloping round his frozen field like a nutter yesterday. Was fully expecting him to be lame last night after all that galloping on hard ground, but no such luck, LOL

I have seriously reduced what I'm feeding my TB. The only work he is doing at the moment is a couple of miles road work a day and not hunting because its frosted off. For safety's sake I cut his food in half - means he doesn't have quite so mucn energy and also lessons the likliehood of any food related drama's occurring in the cold and frost!!

i know - makes me cringe when they gallop and slide about in the field when i am so careful not to trot or canter on the ground cos its too hard! have cut his feed already, feel too mean to do more!

Mine is fairly normal at the moment, and he's just been fully clipped and even then isn't too excitable. Then again, he is habitually lazy

Yep Tia is a nutter at the moment! Spooking at everything, going super fast everywhere and she is out in the field 24/7!

Spun around twice on Sat at the mega scary driveways that have been the same for many many years! lol! Everything seems superdupa scary and exciting!

Ha ha, am so glad to see this post as I was starting to think my horse had had some sort of personality break down.

He has gone from being the most laid back, relaxed horse to a complete nightmare. Spinning round on hacks and galloping towards home, I can't stop him in the school, prancing about on the end of the lead rope when turning him out.

So glad I'm not alone! Roll on spring!

The spooky pony's still normal. Still spooky, but otherwise calm. I wonder if it's because he lives out and we go out in all weathers. Then again, we haven't had quite as much snow as elsewhere!

Yeah! My bone idle cob has turned into a spooky nightmare...and he is on restricted grazing and year old hay out 24/7!! No hard feed!

My horse is unrideable at the mo, the other day I tried to ride him, he seemed fine until he heard a child laugh on the foot path behind the hedge I was riding along and that was it, the most scarry thing in the world, resulted in refusing to move, then rearing and jogging/leaping. Not funny, hence why im slowly loosing all my confidence with him, hope he changes soon.

Yep Mines a Nutter!!! Can't wait til the thaw and she can start going out again in the day properly instead of 1/2hour 'leg stretches'.

Yes my usually lazy Tb that i have on loan has turned into a loopy fool when you ride him in the school. Even a bird tweeting makes him leap about like a crazed idiot! He goes out everyday too. I have cut his food right down!!!!

Oh dear,
my horse is like this all the time.=P
Yer i must admit, winters really doing my nut in.
But luckly we have now got a menage,FLOODLIT. =]
YEYYY.
