Anyone else's horses being plain silly atm ?

Not really other than him mounting the other geldings. Under saddle he has been pretty well behaved and even keeping his excitement under control when jumping. I did see his rather showy off mode return last night when free lunging him. He likes to turn his head towards you as he prances past like "are you watching? You must watch I am just beautiful". Haven't seen that personality in a while so think he was feeling good in himself.

Yep mine are all loopy at the moment, it was just my Anglo at first (I even started a thread on it myself) but the other two are a lot more lively than usual now although they are still managing to remember their manners at least, not the Anglo hes just in total knob mode still but at least I can rely on my girls to behave or i would be having a meltdown myself

not nearly as bad as last year when she was totally unridable but she still shows it on the odd day...such as today. random leaps in the air and then following that by bronking is her favourite trick when she has too much energy. also trying to jump around and bite her head collar when i try and put it on her

I am glad it's not just mine! Had bucking down the road for sheep moving in a field (that he has seen before!) had to get off and walk in the end, next day was just as bad. Have put it down to saddle issues but he's being a sod in the stable and field as well. My other retired one that is normally a devil is being an angel however (which concerns me!)

So pleased to read this, my normally placid cob is snorting at everything that moves, haven't ridden for a week after he bolted when a cyclist crept up behind us.

Yes😩 she bolted down to her field while I was opening the gate to the school and I had to run round in a storm, knee deep in mud trying to catch her.

My nice, normally placid even tempered mare turned into a snorting monster a couple of weeks ago. We even had a tiny flid which I've never experienced before. I cut our ride short before my life was!!!!

The semi retired 24yo is taking hold and trotting off like there's no tomorrow.
