mine, like clockwork, every year looses his head 2 weeks after they move to the start of their winter grazing. all summer he's pootled around like a little lamb, almost to the point of being boring. but yet again, all of a sudden, ping! the fizz is back. that'll be that now till at least february. bouncing and trying to charge off all over the place like he knows no better. makes for interesting hacking, cantering sideways past a combine harvester today, spooking at things he's seem a million times. jogging as soon as he knows we're heading home. maybe he thinks i need to fitten up before xmas :)
 
yes but mine are still on the same grazing i think its the sugar in the grass at the moment he is on marching mode at the moment flying changes have turned in to an exciting sideways and buck as we change :o galloping around the field like a loon, generally feeling fruity :o
 
Def had a rush of grass here - my level headed saint is very full of herself and seeing monsters behind every blade of grass/jump pole/shadow etc!! Schooling has been a right pita as we can't even do a 20m circle without bouncing sideways because a fence post looked at her funny!
 
my 5yr old pony has gone balistic, he is normally very respectful and responsive but at the moment he's just acting like a stallion again (head up, snorting, dancing around, tail in the air), nothing whatsoever has changed and my other 2 are absolutely fine, this monster though is sending me nuts! lol
i lunged him last night and was there for nearly an hour just trying to get him to do a simple circle in trot without him bombing off bucking and farting!
 
Mine went loopy last night! Hacked out past two tractors ploughing - didn't bat an eyelid, Hacked back home half an hour later, past the same two tractors ploughing the same field - que the cantering sideways with his head in the air, down the road towards an oncoming car. Bet the farmers had a giggle!! :rolleyes:
 
i think the farmer was giggling at me too! we'd seen it parked up on our way out. not a problem at all. but it was moving and heading towards us on the way home. first he tried to spin and run back onto the hill, when i whipped him round again he thought bugger this i'm gettting passed as fast as possible!!
 
Yes we've had a rush of grass over the last couple of weeks, I noticed a few were feeling well when I came back of my holidays, combine it with a mare coming in season and it just fun fun fun :rolleyes:
