Mine is in now until the rain stops as the fields are under water. Its just depressing this weather. Is anyone elses horses in? what do you do to keep them entertained as its hopless trying to ride much in this foul weather.

Thanks Liz x

Mine are on two different yards at the moment, so one is out because his stable is really small so I prefer he gets wet to being stuck in all day, and the other is in cos she hates the rain and everyone else on the yard is in as well

Ours came in over night a few weeks ago because of the wet fields and have been left in today. I'm hoping to throw her out tomorrow for a few hours at least as I can't ride at the moment, so she's either going to be stuck in or have a quick lunge tonight.

I put her on our lane for 10 minutes this morning, and she just stood and waited for me to fetch her back in

I've brought Thump in today - but he'll go back out tonight. The fields are fine at my place.

Lots of grass and not flooded.

In and will probably stay in all winter now, bar the odd dry day - the field looks like a swimming pool.

Yep mine are in with big haynets. I had my stables made with double windows so they have two views for added interest. They are fine ATM with 40 mins turnout at each end of the day whilst I redo their boxes. Hope rain doesn't last too long though as wasn't expecting to pay for full supplies just yet.

Ted went out in aprl.. did his tendon in may.. went make out at the end of august.. and is back in now.. so he's well cheesed off!!

He is better off in, warm dry and eating than out trying to shelter and not eating!

mine too.

I don't think we are hitting swimming pool status just yet, more bog. I am too scared that they will loose shoes and weight, so I would rather have them in as I know that they will eat then

Hovis is out. When i left this morning all the other boys were huddled in their rain sheets under the trees - the picture of misery. The Destroyer was stood in the middle of the field eating. Surprising that....

Snap, mines on full livery as well at the moment cos of not being able to get to the yard due to work commitments, apparently is being a nightmare when they are polticing his foot! Methinks might have to buy apologetic chocolates for YO and staff.

Gertie is in, as otherwise int he rain she tends to bring herself in, via 4 electric fences and 3 other paddocks, and lets herself in her stable.

Fatty is in as otherwise he stands at the gate shivering - it's the poncey falabella in him.

Both have ad-lib soaked hay, Gertie has a snack ball and a bucket of Happy Hoof and a lunch time hay net too.

Mine's stuck out and naked!! The fields aren't waterlogged. Had booked half a day of to ride, but ended up clening out me tack box instead!! If i brought him in he wouldn't want to go out again, but as it is he's happily grazing in the middle of the field.!!

Ours are all out - and will stay out 24/7 all winter. They will get a m/w or l/w rug come Dec/Jan time.

I've got mine at two different places too. My 2 yr old is just out in a field with 2 friends and has a shelter but no rug yet. But my horsey has been in since 7.30 this morning, tried keeping him out so far but both his rugs are soaked through + were off to a sponsored ride tomorrow so he would of been in tonight anyway, but had to force myself to ride him as would have an extremly bored and stressed horsey, actually persuaded myself to ride and it was quite sunny!
