Mystis come in with very hot feet and was being difficult to catch.
So from tomorrow she's going in her pen for part of the day and going to have to try to get her used to her muzzle :(
Anyone else's lami prone ponies struggling already?

Yup, mine has already done 3 days off the grass to stop her being footy. She is sound again now so I will be properly strip grazing her with extra super duper electric fence (she had been running through the old stuff) and she will just be going out mornings this week.
We have got a round pen but where it is there is no shade at all and she can't touch the others in it so I would feel so cruel leaving her there all day - I'd actually be happier leaving her in her stable. I can't muzzle her as even with a greenguard she self-harms to get it off so I am a bit limited really - open to suggestions. My paddock is fairly bare as it is as she's been on it all winter and although I have been hinting about putting mine and YO's horses on a track we haven't got there yet.
Good luck with yours OP!

Not as such, but as I've got too much grass now for the youngster, strip grazing is commencing. I will do all I can to prevent her from even getting close to being lami. I think it is wise.
Good luck with all your lami-prone ponies, I'm sure you can handle their every need!

Thanks unbalanced - I know what you mean about the muzzle! I've only put one on her a few times in the past as she has been trying to get it off and hurting herself in the process but it has to be done! She's a very hyper pony and just won't cope being stabled for long :o
