Anyone else's legs aching from riding today?

I'm feeling rather pathetic. All down the backs of my thighs are aching like mad. FFS its only been a few weeks of not riding, is this old age setting in or am I just being feeble?

Anyone else dealing with aches and pains?
 
Oh yeah!!!!

It's not the lack of recent riding though, I always ache after riding - the inside of my thighs. For me it's lack of technique and my instructor working me on the lunge with no reins to get my leg aids improving.

Worked well, but looks like I just got off my horse - John Wayne's walk is nothing compared to me

Mine are killing me after riding very naughty mare this afternoon..i have had about 4/5 months off riding though so thats probably why. Glad to be back into the riding routine again now though
 
yes mine are killing after 2 months off and only ten minutes riding today - it makes it worse that i have a hugggge bruise on my thigh from falling on the ice which kills!
 
Not aching...but pony was a complete nutter! No control what so ever!!!
Had to get off and lead him home before I got angry and whipped him to death! (thats a joke, dont call the ilph on me, I love my fuzzy blob (sometimes!))

I think a couple of schooling sessions are in order to get four weeks off energy out of him and reteach him how to walk and trot!
 
My legs are fine, but my youngster did a few big bucks today and must have pulled a muscle in my shoulder, it is really sore and my arm feels really weak. I also am thinking an early night because I rode all 4 of my horses (that are in work), and i'm now feeling particularly tired as I havn't ridden at all for about a month, until now!!!!!!!!!
 
calf muscles are aching a bit.

last rode christmas eve and then this weekend spent 4 hours in the saddle each day on rather fresh horses!
 
Unfortunately mine are but not from riding in the same way yours are. I fell off on the road today. my horse slipped on black ice!!
 
I've ridden two and looseshchooled two and I'm not feeling a thing - but themn I have drunk two bottles of champagne

Not aching from riding as such, more from falling off (more than once...)
Lucky enough to have had access to horses & an indoor school so not been out of action too much but think I need a few days off to recover from this one
