My mare feels like a jack in abox. My 21 yo gelding was feeling very fit, and fresh, but has been very quiet since the BRC champs. He'll have a few more days in the field, and will be back to his naughty, cheeky self (I hope)
Captain is back to his old self, charging around the field like he was a yearling, not 13! He is getting thoroughly lunged tomorrow see if we can't work off some of that energy.
Yes my colt is pushing his luck at the minute, he has gone from a complete softie bear to a rearing bucking nipping farty pants, charging around the field like a lunatic. He is being gelded next month (hopefully).
My 17yr old mare is quite full of herself also, acting like a baby again, pretending to be scared of things that aren't even there! leaping around like Bambi.
Also 3 other horses at the yard decided to let themselves out and went charging around all the fields and yard setting all the other horses off- something is in the air lol!
The feel good feeling obviously hasn't reached Dorset yet, mine needed kicking on cantering towards home, unheard of!! She's often a bit sluggish after a night of wind and rain, must have used up her energy for keeping warm. Have increased feed size and crossed fingers that this doesn't turn her into an orange lunatic.

Just interested - does your horse have any draft blood?
