Hi, currently trying to plan my 2012 season and not getting very far! Due to one reason or another I've lost my transport so I'm looking for someone that events in the Cheshire area that could give me a lift to as many events as possible next season. I'm more than happy to pay ALL fuel costs each time and I'm a very good groom too so will help as much as I can. Also willing to help towards service/not costs etc! I have a 16.2 very well behaved gelding will go with anything and in anything! Such an angel. If anyone has any ideas or knows anyone I'm desperate to make the most of next season so please pm me :)

Thankyou

i'm NW but not really Cheshire so don't think i could help (i'm Lancs). was just thinking though...what about looking at hiring one of those self drive boxes- the 3.5 tonne ones? if you are willing to pay all fuel costs then i wonder how much more expensive that would be....? :)

or is there anyone on your yard who would take you? there are a couple of people on my yard who love taking people to comps- they just like grooming and helping out and as long as their costs are covered they aren't bothered :p

I'd love to be able to hire one but as I'm 22 I've got to wait another year till they'll cover me on insurance and don't want to waste another season! I'm near Macclesfield ..

Have you contacted Smallwood and Somerford? There is also an eventer based just outside Congleton and Biddulph (I think they are an eventer).

Hi there

I am in exactly the same situation as you, I don't have a towing vehicle and am looking for someone to share transport with next season.

I am in Mobberley which is quite close

If we hired a box would you be interested in sharing the costs with me ?

I am hoping to do Somerford, Kelsall, Bradwall etc ( BE90 )

I am more than old enough to hire something ( !) but not terribly confident about actually driving it!

I was thinking that maybe I could hire a box and driver for the day if I had to

Am not sure how to PM you as have only just registered

I have posted a message on the BE forum though under the event buddy section

Have had no replies so far !!!

You should put some adverts up in your local feed shop, farms or competitions in ur area. Thats what I did that when I was trying to find a horse to travel with mine (he didnt like to travel alone).
