Anyone ever fitted a ramp?

I am currently getting quotes to have a side ramp fitted on my box as my horse doesnt like backing down the ramp and I might have to sell it because of this.

Has anyone ever fitted their own ramp? Or had any experiences with having it done? Most of the big bucks modifications companies arent in the slightest bit interested in my old bedford!!

would not attempt this sort of thing without being a horsebox builder!

Putting an additional ramp in is a major job and probably will prove very expensive. It will also add weight to your lorry reducing your payload and will have to be counterbalanced on the other side. It will cost in excess of £2,000.
