anyone ever get sunburn on a foals mane?

Foals mane is white she has a pink nose so I put a little sun cream on it.
But noticed few scan crumble flakes of skin in mane. Never had to put sun cream on a mane before and most of mine have white manes.

That was scabs, auto correct I hate it.

But skin doesn't look red. But is habit flaky in sections and cresting abit. But not itching it. Seems happy

We had this whacked some sudocream on it and it's fine

my horse is an appaloosa and has white hair on his back which is virtually non-existant so he gets sunburnt on his back in the summer - even through a fly rug.

unfortunately not sure about what to do in your foals case, as I generally rug up or keep in until it calms down a bit. And use some soothing aloe vera after sun or sudocrem to calm it. I still can't find any suncream that lasts and actually works on my horse!
