Anyone ever seen a ghost ?

Definatly some creepy stories that people have. Mine aren't that interesting but I thought I once saw a ghost when at an old farm I kept a horse at. It was 6am and still really dark. To get to the field you had to go from the barn down a hill to a brook past a lot of old farm buildings. I absolutly hated walking down there alone especially in the dark as it always felt like you were being watched. So I put the horse out and started to run back up the hill to get away faster. As I was running the light beam from my torch was shining through the old farm machinery and casting shadows on the shed walls. As I was watching the shadows on the shed walls a tall man suddenly ran out along the drive towards the barn (where I was heading). I thought it was the farmer who owned the place, so I was just about to call out hello when he disappeared. The man who owned the farm and his farther were both tall men so I assume it ran in the family so it could have been a past family member.
Also suffered from sleep paralysis once which was horrible but not as bad as many of the accounts I've read of.

These are great, Ive got a few that have happened to other people, but earlier this year my bf was at the yard with me one sunday and the yard owners daughter came out with her six month old daughter in a pushchair just to see her old pony and say hello. She was in the feed room near my stable, behind a kind of half wall so he could see her but she was busy doing feeds, while they were chatting my bf was chatting to the baby too coz he loves kids, then before his eyes the pushchair started rocking back and forward, he was six foot away and so was the mum! They both looked at each other in a "wtf" kind of way, then when he told me about it later I mentioned that a lovely old guy, one of the dads, had dropped dead of a massive heart attack only a few years ago, right in that spot! He would've done that, he was lovely and loved kids, my non believer bf pooed his pants! Incidentally, my stable is right next to the spot and I've felt a tap on the shoulder a couple of times.

Ooh ooh another one, while Im on... my sister has a ghost in her house, its an old farm workers terraced cottage and at my nephews 18th soiree about six years ago he asked me if Id heard about their ghost, slightly cacking myself I said no and he proceeded to tell me that twice he's been walking across the landing upstairs to walk down the stairs and as you have to turn back on yourself, by habit he checked the full length mirror (yikes) to see if anyone is coming up and there's been an old lady with mad grey hair sat on the third stair up!!! My nephew is a good lad, teetotal and really sweet, he wouldnt make something up in fact he was almost in tears when he told me. When I asked my sister she asked me not to mention it to her youngest but yes, she herself had seen her one night when she was on the settee chilling in front of the tr and a cushion was pulled from under her head and she looked up and same old woman was staring over the back of the settee at her. She's always inviting me to go over and stay the night so I can have a drink. Er, no thanks!

Just realized that my OH set that photo to private on Flickr but here it is:

That's because it's the same pole thsat's been there for the past 34+ years. My sis and I used to hang off the yellow covered wire going diagonally into the pavement from it when we were little. If it were there when I was little in the 70's, goodness knows how long it was there before I was born!

Typical Montreal degrading infrastructure really. When we went back this summer, there are big chunks of concrete falling out of the highways and huge pot holes everywhere on the roads!

No, sadly I haven't seen anything, but I've heard some right odd things over the years. The most horse-related one was at my old yard. I was often there alone on Sunday mornings and used to feed my horse in the indoor arena. Its a long story why but I used to check she was ok eating and then go back to her stable to muck out. The back wall of the stable was the wall of the arena and there was the odd gap so I could hear and see my horse (in certain places) in the arena. One day I'd just started mucking out when I heard the sound of shod hooves tapping wooden jump poles, like you get when you trot over a line of poles, so I went and checked my horse and she was just busy munching. A few minutes later I distinctly heard a wooden jump being knocked down close to my stable wall with quite a crash so I sprinted to the window in the arena and saw my horse standing right away on the far side and basically dozing and digesting. The only jumps in their were all entirely made of plastic and she was 20m at least away from them. I later found out that one of the yard owner's showjumpers had been put down in the indoor - maybe it was her? I wasn't scared, just perplexed!
