Anyone ever used a bungee or harbidge?

have used both in the hacking in straight lines stage of fittening horses up after back injury.

Have never used them to school or "teach" a horse anything.

They encourage the horse to stretch down and use their back, but you must keep them marching forward so they don't just fall on forehand.

Ive used a bungee for lunging, found good to help encourage into an outine and help with topline, but i prefer to use a persoa.
Ive used a harbridge on a green horse to encourage it to stretch over its back, i like this to ride in as when they carry correctly they release the pressure. Obviously both of these can cause more damage than good if not used correctly but i think thats the same with all training aids.

I use a bungee lunging but wouldn't ride in it. Its a lot like marmite I have had some horses who have just hated it and some who go brilliant in it. I wouldn't ride in it because I sometimes feel it forces the head down and the horse will build the wrong muscles.

When I lunge in it I will only put it on for 5 mins to show the horse the way then take it off again and let him figure it out by himself.
