ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS

Firstly I will give you a history, 10yr section A mare, out during day, in at night, never had a rug on her even in all the snow!! good doer, happy little sole.

Arrived at the yard this morning to find her trembling, very happy, bright eyed, inquisitive, but shaking quiet significantly. Not cold to the touch coat nice and smooth and silky. If she wasn't shaking you would say she was a picture of health. Not cold, her sister who is more nesh (right spelling) was absolutely fine.

Carried on with normal routine, put her out while mucking out etc. left her for 1hr, kept checking on her, she was having a great time running around, squealing, prancing around, eating.... slowly her shaking diminished. Brought her in after the hour and she was fine, no signs at all.

Whilst she was out the heavens opened.

Anyone got any ideas, I have never seen anything like it.:(
 
Mine were all shaking this morning as were most of the horses on the yard irrelevant if they were rugged or not. Mine were without rugs so just put it down to them trying to keep warm due to heavy rain showers.
 
strange thing if not cold.

The only thing I had last year was with my donkey she was in stable next door i heard a bang then she was pacing round and round and then turned her out she was running round paddock( unusual for her) then she just stood was trembling ( shaking all over) then started dribbling called vet he reckons the bang i heard was her as she most prob got stung by a wasp while eating her hay a wasp prob in her hay and it was kind of a anaphylactic shock syndrome.this lasted till morning but the dribbling lasted weeks . Maybe you came in at the shaking stage ???

She is fine now, temp fine, eyes bright, coat looking great, eating well, playing in field.

No idea what it was:confused:, nearly call the vet straight away but glad I didn't coz by the time he would have arrived she was fine.

Keeping a close eye on her though.
