OK, so HHO roadtrip to Burgie appears to be taking shape, with Wales and the South West represented by chatter1 and me

Upsides: we will be VERY nice to you, great experience if you've never been to a 3 day before, Burgie parties are renowned... Downsides: we can't afford to pay you as such

hun, i won't be doing anything much till Sunday with Katy, so i'm appointing myself chief groom and gofer until then. i do as i'm told, i run fast, and i don't give much backchat!

How exciting...Sounds really fun. I am tempted but I'd have to take an extra week off work and I'm running out of days!

I'm sure you'll have a great time though and hope you find someone...haven't been to Burgie but groomed at other three days and would recommend to anyone!

There is a good chance I may be able to do it though, but OH only comes back from US this weekend so may veto the idea!!
 
Oh I have just realised, it clashes with Longleat and I am chief driver for Lec that day, so no can do from me, sorry.
 
Oh drat . . If I didn't start work that monday then I would be there like a shot. Never been to Burgie before.
Am available for the most of the summe for gophering though, so give me a shout if there are other events you need a hand at!
 
Stop making me jealous. My intentions of doing the 3 day dwindled due to spring lameness and lack of fitness. Now my intentions of doing the intro have disappeared due to fear of entering (read paying) then having to pull out because of intermittent feet feeling.

I'll be there for the workers and will be spending the rest of the weekend in the beer tent

Would LOVE to - have experience n'all - but I think work may be sending me to tend to some loony Russians instead. Will there be frequent updates to t'interweb? Surely a groom responsibility.....

Don't forget I'm going to be the only one with a real old-fashioned 10 minute box (sounds right up Kerilli's street actually). I shall of course be doing my best impression of an eventer from the good ol'/bad ol' days and be reclining in a deckchair whilst someone squirts juice in my mouth, someone fans my damp brow, someone else polishes up my boots and yet another person leads my horse round in circles. That's um..... 4 grooms at a minimum I think?
