It all started a few weeks ago when an advert for a 7yo welshie in a shop planted the seed... Jack could do with a friend and I could (maybe) do with a project pony or at least something capable of going for a plod down the road every now and again.

My criteria....
It must be a pony, preferably broken although any age is fine.. even a right oldie! I'm emailing the rescues around here to see if they have anything suitable although no luck so far.
Hm, that's actually it :p
Thank you!

There was a report on the news this morning from the RSPCA saying they are looking for people to take Ponys in, preferably people who already have horses and have extra time and money to look after them. Worth a try!

He's a Sec A, is that too small?

He's super cute though - looks like my gelding's mini-me. :p

Lovely sec C. :)

Budget wise, I was going to have a look at what price everything seemed to be, then decide what I was willing to pay, but preferaby under £500.

I have got the telephone of out local RSPCA so will give them a ring :)

Faracat, that section A is lovely :D Technically yes, too small but I am emailing still :o
Thank you!

Thank you :)

Out of interest, how are you finding these? I've gone through all of the adverts local to me and none of the ones you have posted were there! :o

They are the ones that are reasonably local to me as I have my location entered into Preloved. ;) Luckily I'm not too far away from Shropshire and I could see that that's where you are. :D

Kent is too far for me to travel, sorry :(

Oh, I see! Just funny that they didn't turn up on my search
We're just waiting to hear back from the chestnut gelding now.. I'm just not quite convinced that he is going to be big enough. There was another palamino mare but her hooves were shocking

No, it was the dun and chestnut at the beginning that had me reaching for Buy it Now (luckily wrong website!).

They are nice, that chestnut has been calling to me for ages now.

Are you sure that the pretty black filly doesn't tempt you? :D

Aaah, that little grey! They have recieved an email from me :o Sadly, still no reply from the chestnut :(

Oh, rats, I'd love it if you got him.

Eh, so would I :D They have replied now but from the sounds of it he's only ever walked around on the lead rein and he's really just not quite big enough to be useful to us in the long term. I'd buy him, break him and sell him to you though ;)

Hypocritically, I am considering messaging about the shetland, but last time we had one of those, it tried to kill me...:o
