Right, I have put off backing my filly for this summer as she is clearly not ready! I'm putting my pony up for share as he is getting older and can't carry adult riders all the time, so Mum and I are left horseless.

I am looking for a cob/cob type (pref coloured) 15 hh upwards closer to 16hh would be better. I would like it to be backed and not really spend more than £1500 but could manage to a bit more if it is really nice.

Age doesn't matter, barefoot pref, I am based in Epsom so not horrendously far!

You guys are so good at finding nice horses, I thought you would be able to help!

Thank you. Tea and biscuits on offer as it is the break in Parent's evening at school. :D

You need to do it my way ..........................

Get on the internet at 4am in the morning (last sunday morning I did it), in a depressed, can't sleep, slightly drunken stupor. Open Horsequest, cob page, scroll down about 5 adverts, see a horse that looked fairly smart and not too far away, send email. Stagger back to bed, wake up 2 hours later feeling
dreadful.

Look at emails Sunday lunchtime, finding horse still for sale, ring up, drive up immediately, ride it, like it, stick deposit it and drive home.

Arrange to try again on Tuesday and spend the Monday telling yourself it is not possible to try and buy the first horse you see, especially as I wasn't really looking in the first place.

Ride again Tuesday, it's even better than Sunday, buy it. Instruct vet today, vet it tomorrow. Fingers crossed it will be looking over the door on Saturday.

All I have to do now is convince the OH it's someone elses.

Where's the like button when you need it? Go AA!!

Must admit OP, I think you're going to need to be in the right place at exactly the right time to get what you want for that budget, but I hope you find something good soon. I take it you've tried the usual suspects like Dragon Driving and Preloved? Facebook can be good for spreading the word too. :)

Haha yes I have, I thought that many eyes would help to see as much as possible!

This is very nice, I will call.

I like the look of this, it looks like my pony only bigger.

I saw this one and liked it, but it is too far away!

Oops, that is the way to accidentally buy a horse. How did it turn out?
