Anyone fed cayenne?

I was advised to feed cayenne pepper, I really thought she would not eat it, but she does. 1/2 teaspoon in each (relatively small) feed.
Apparently it's good for intestinal issues. No advice needed, just wondered if anyone has fed this?

Are you sure it was cayenne and not curcumin you were advised to feed?

It will be banned from using on the horses legs, it was used under bandages at one time until they got caught, no idea if it is banned from being ingested though, it appears it is banned just found this article.
