As title. My two barefoot welshies are currently on fast fibre, linseed, pro balance and a simple systems chaff. Thinking of changing them over to just one feed when they run out? But says fully balanced so don't know if I'll still need the hoof supplement..

Taz- talk to Rach about pure.. I think Dee was on it!

Barefoot works awesomely with a mineral analysis... it has worked wonders with a number of friends horses! Sailor on the other hand.. he has feet of concrete lol :D

I really liked the concept of it but my mare didn't do well with the alfafa content (fibre plus), sent her a bit scatty, made her put on weight so I started feeding too small amounts so needed vit and min supplement and so her feed became all a bit unbalanced. She is just on straw chop with vits, linseed, speedibeet and prohoof. 23yr old however is doing fab on just the pure working plus linseed and joint supplement.

Yep, i was on it. Dee was doing fab on it until about just under 2 months back when all the horses fed it just werent holding their weight. Dee was fed 5 stubbs scoops a day with adlib hay but i just couldnt keep any weight on her. In the end i changed back to Saracens and out her on their Mare Care stud feed and Dengie Alfa-A Molasses free with 2 x cups of micronised linseed daily. Shes doing a lot better now. :)

It was fab for the summer when she was out 24/7 but started to prove ineffective and expensive. When i emailed regarding how much to feed a broodmare, i want overly impressed with their response. IMHO their idea is all horses are the same...they are not.
