Have always fed Tyson pets at home's own large breed dog food...
However have been recommended to feed him skinners by his trainer.
They all seem to be for working dogs though.
Surely I dont want him to have any more energy?!
I mean. Really. I don't.
Am i wrong in thinking a working dogs food will be higher energy levels etc?

I also feed skinners where I cannot get chudleys, a few of mine did well on it, some put a little to much weight on and the rotti lost it, the akita thrived on it.
I think I used the beef one.

I do :)

I buy Skinners Maintenance and mix it with the Ruff & Ready or the Museli Mix :)

Even the fussy collie eats it and is finally putting on a teeny tiny bit of weight!

I used to always feed Chudleigh's working crunch and can't really remember why I switched last year but I thoroughly recommend it.

Just checked the bags....the maintenance has 18% protein and the museli mix 21% but my dogs do get a lot of exercise

Its labelled for working dogs so you don't pay VAT on it.

If I could show you my front room at the moment you would see it doesn't make them hyperactive!! The spangle is asleep on my legs and keeping my feet warm and the lab is crashed out on the armchair snoring...........;):D today was a Skinners day!!;):D:D

My other grey has 26% protein fish4dogs and its not altered his energy level in the slightest, but he eats much less than the Skinners so perhaps quantity evens it out. Shame all dog food isn't vat free as it make a nice saving.

My BC used to have pets at home own brand, switched to skinners and his condition and weight has improved no end.

I feed the field and trial maintenance as its 18% protein, the other week my supplier had run out so had to buy the duck and rice which is 21% protein - the difference was remarkable. Only had to look at him and he would be on his feet all bouncy - and that was after a one and half hour walk!

Now back on the maintenance and my lovely calm dog has returned! Can't recommend it enough!

Went to Suffolk dog day the other year and on one of the trade stands for a well known more expensive food a lady had a dog fed on that food saying 'look how well his coat is' - my dog looked much healther! lol think that says it all for me.
