I just got this email from a horsey friend, think I might try to make it along to watch...
Just in case anyone might be interested, there is a polo match on tomorrow at Dalmahoy Polo Fields (2 miles west of bypass on the A71, 30 metres past Curriehill Road on the left). It's part of the Edinburgh Polo Club Summer Series, is against Stewarton Polo Club and is in aid of Ravelrig Riding for Disabled Group in Balerno. Ravelrig provides riding therapy for more than 120 riders with physical disabilities and learning difficulties. The Group is run entirely by volunteers and receives no formal funding - in other words we have to raise every penny of our own running costs, currently in the region of £30K p.a..
Gates open at 12.30pm for tailgaters (BYO picnic). £5 car entry with match start at 2.00pm. At half time there is Big Shot Prize Golf or Polo - £10 entry fee and bring your own golf club.
