Anyone from Dublin/been riding in Dublin

Going in a few weeks, and want to go horse riding.

Have come up with three places so far, any comments on any of them would be useful:

Ashtown stables (near Phoenix Park)

Phoenix Riding Stables

Coolmine Equestrian Centre

I used to work as an instructor at Ashtown Stables!!!

. But I was there years ago, no idea what is like now. At the time they had some nice horses and plenty of well behaved ponies, but the arena was crap.

Fantastic hacking in Phoenix park though........

I'd recommend it then! (bearing in mind I was last there over ten years ago.....). Phoenix park is stunning.

Another reccomendation for Brennanstown Riding School. Great hacking, good yard with good horses and easy to get to. (Get the Dart to Bray from Dublin - it goes along the coast - lovely sightseeing opportunity)

If you have a car Bel Air in Wicklow is great - hacks out into the forest with xc on the way. Good horses well cared for. I used to ride there and would really recommend.
