I have just got a job in kent and will be moving next week!!! ...I dont know anyone there and was thinking of mayb going to help out at a competition yard at weekends (Just to keep contact with horses!!!)

Can anyone reccommend someone who may appreciate some help??

Hi I'm from Kent, but quite a way from you. I would suggest you ask at Stilebridge Barn Dressage Centre which is the other side of Maidstone Town Centre, they have a website etc. Very well run shows are held at their Dressage Yard - they sell etc etc, seem very professional but kind and they may be able to make some suggestions. I know of a couple of centres with well known horsey peeps but don't agree with some of their practices around horses so wouldn't want to recommend those.

The other thing you can do is contact some of the local riding clubs, for example Arrow in Dartford does a lot with Fawkham District and they may have some ideas or Sevenoaks, these are a bit far away from you but they are bound to link up with other clubs more in your area and will know of some competition yards. Both of these also have websites.

Hi Did1.I am also not far from WHH.Just one junction up the motorway.You would be more than welcome to come along and help me.I only have the one horse who is an unbroken 3 year old but I do keep him on a busy yard with about 30 horses and we are always happy to have people come and help out.The horses range from 14.2hh upwards to 17hh.We are situated in the middle of the countryside with some fantastic hacking.If you are interested please feel free to pm me.
