Anyone give me a hand with sizes?

Okay so, i am looking for a new showjacket (Yipeeeee) and i am an absolute disgrace with sizes
So could anyone tell me a Maids 28, what age group/sizes like 6, 8, 10 etc is that?

While im here i also need help on PASSPORTS
im looking to change the ownership on my mares passport, on the form im supposed to fill in here is a "previous owner" part for the previous owner to fill in, my problem is the previous owner on the passport is a guy from Ireland, i live in Scotland.

Any help on the above is greatly appreciated!

No clothing sizes are exact - although the inches measurement on jackets does help a lot.

My daughter is 12, small and slight. She takes a Maids 28" jacket and wears a small size 6. However at a recent PC competition I lent a spare SJ jacket to a fellow team member who had fallen foul of the new no coloured jackets rule. She fitted into the same 28" jacket and she is 17 and probably a size 8. (Although the sleeves were a bit short!)

Just to add to the confusion the jacket size you need will depend on the bredth of your sholders and length of your arms which have nothing to do with your age or dress size! The best thing is to go inot a shop - or wander around at a large horse show - and try everything on. Figure out what make and size suits you then go and look it up on ebay!

Passports - you should be able to change ownership using your bill of sale if you can't get to the previous owner - or just leave it blank and see what your issuing authority says. Legally you should change the passport within 30 days of aquiring the horse - although no one seems to check!

Passport- we are currently getting our new horse's passport changed over to my name. We got the owner to fill in a bill of sale when we brought the horse which can be used to change the ownership but you can also get a form that you can fill out to change the ownership and just use that. However, both parties need to sign it so I'm not sure how you would do that.
