Anyone going to Bicton??

My friend may go on the friday but hasn't decided. Might do 5yo might not as shes never jumped on grass before prob not!!!
 
I'm not going but i'm intrested to know what Bicton is like compared to W&W? How far from W&W is Bicton. Have been to W&W loads of times and love it there but the dates this year all seem to clash with things i've got on
 
Bicton is lovely if the weather is great, the warm ups are usually horrendous as I feel they are too small and too many people but its lovely watching action in the main ring. I would say its about 2 hours from Bristol.
 
I'm not going as no saddle and not rejoined BSJA 'yet'!!

Ground is going to be soft especially in the main ring next week. We have very similar going (about 15miles away) and it is normally very similar!

I love Bicton to be honest as lovely showground with overall good organisation. Actually tempted to give Gareth an email to see if he needs an extra scribe as fancy giong up to watch and catch up on the gossip!

Also apparently they have done a lot of work on the webb warmup at last. They have raised it and resurfaced it to help prevent it flooding when it rains and also stopping it being concrete when dry (They literally had to plough it when it was dry!) Not sure what surface they have put on it but should be an improvement.

Main ring is my favourite nothing better than jumping a good round and then coming in for the prize givings in there, as most of the other rings the prize givings normally end up on foot and very disjointed as people are all over the place in other rings.
 
They have just put a big outdoor arena in as friend went to see it as using a similar product to the one he produces and wanted to see the results.
