As the title says really??

I should be going weather permitting as the BN & Dis is being held on grass. They will combione the schedule if the ground is too hard but as my friend is jumping the last classes it will be too much of a wait in between.

OOh is it on grass? may have to get Farrier to put my studs holes back in now then...

I may be going - depending if we have sorted the house move or not on Sunday

So maybe see you there

I didn't realise they had two rings - when I looked at their website a week or so ago I'm pretty sure it said it was an Advanced schedule and started at Newcomers (although someone else has since said there's 2 rings). If there's a 1.05 I can jump before the 1.10/Newcomers I will probably go.

My friend thought it was an advanced schedule too but if you scroll down to the progressive schedule on pg 5 on their website you will see it has various dates at the top and one of them being the 28th May.

I also rung them to double check as i didn't want to turn up for nothing and thats when they told me the progressive was being held on grass depending on the ground conditions. If not then they will combine the schedules on the soft track arena.

We're going to Bexhill instead but good luck.

Have to say their mega omnibus schedule is a nightmare to try and understand. I reckon the code breakers at Bletchley Park would have struggled lol!

The Softrack arena there is v.nice though....didn't realise they actually had any flat grass though...being located on the side of the downs

And if you can decipher their schedule it appears that there's a Newcomer as the first class (Advanced) and also the last class (Progressive)!

Interesting point about the hills too!

I seem to remember so flattish areas - where they had xc jumps, have not been for yonks and I know they they have done a lot there so I'm sure you will get a decent grass arena if they offer it.

Glad i read this post as im trying to decide what to do this weekend, and was thinking i would like to jump somewhere on grass as the going is really nice at the moment.

Do you know if they build the courses quite high for the BN?

The grass arena is new - on a sand base apparently (i.e. all-weather grass, or virtually, anyway). They planned to use it when we were last there but it wasn't ready in time - that was 10 days ago.

Suggest you check that the arena is ready before setting off, if the grass is important to you.

Always seems up to height to me. The jumps are quite bright and they do have a few bright fillers too.

I've only jumped there once...a 1.05m and 1.10m...and I thought they were bang up to height too

However, the surface is so good that the horses do jump extremely well on it

Fences are a bit 'different' too

No but I’m there Friday for the clear round (taking Bodey out for a nosey), probably won’t be doing anything just watching as it will be Bodes first time out. Then back on the 2nd of June for our first ever Stressage, help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck for Monday, may nip down for a nose.

I am going to Cobham on Monday, as I'm judging.

It's meant to be a two ring show, grass arena, and the softrack.

I love Cobham, it's got such a fab cafe - gorgeous cakes.

Hey Cathy, yes possibly going to Denne Hill on Monday - not 100% certain yet... I THINK I may have your mobile number on my phone - if so I'll call you if I come along! (last 3 numbers are 739 - is that you?!)

That's me....... Fun weekend approaching - judging at Merrist Wood Sat, bathing a horse Sunday, grooming for niece at DH Monday. Just because I'm temporarily horseless people seem to think I have to be kept occupied. Am I that bad to live with??? Eeek!
