It would be nice to meet someone "in person" I am at Hopetoun on Saturday, will be in the Tea and Beer Tent after the Obstacles, wearing a flat "tweedy" cap [the country look], black Ariat joddie boots [pro look], white van [sad person], with "Lady Gardener" stickers.
Usually looking a bit lost.............no not really............ just because I 'm an OAP does not mean I have lost my marbles..... err, where did I put them?
PS stewards needed Sat and Sunday, john hulse is the man to contact

Me me me!!!!

Going from Friday to Sunday will be backstepping on my first national marathon on Saturday so will be well up for a drink on saturday
WOW well done, it will be great fun, and to my mind it is an International, all the top men will be there, and Prince Phillip usually drives a team of Fell ponies, spectating of course.

My OH is going. I don't get to go any more 'cause my boss gave up driving, he just watches now. :(

Have fun everyone going.

Ashgrove is it the driving trials you are going to? what sort of trade stand do you have?

Have had a lovely day today, both friends are leading their classes and we won our dressage, think we might get hammered in the marathon tomorrow lol

Not sure i'm going to sleep much tonight, the obstacles are going round and round in my head

You must be quite close to me Sologirl (or at least, where the horse is). I'm not going to the driving trials, but will def be going to the ridden version.

When's the ridden version? I live about 10 miles away from Hopetoun House :)

The ridden comp is not until the last weekend in july. This weekend is the driving trials.
Anyone local should come along its a fab competition.
I'll grooming for a pair of grey ponies and we could do with all the encouragement we can get

I'm usually left at home when my employer is away competing, but she's not going to Hopetoun this time so I'm going on Sunday. I'd rather have gone today but the bairns have pony club.

So it's an early start tomorrow to get there while it's still cool, then a picnic lunch and a rare bit of socialising.

Well we have had an awesome day, was mega nervous, we set off at 11.18am and i couldn't eat beforehand.
But had a brilliant round, ponies drove really well and have finished provisionally 28penalties up and i had a ball
Both friends held onto their 1st places, so fingers crossed for tomorrow

Yes I saw you were doing nicely, I was at Obstacle Five [Nessie], not as much fun as Three [Jubilee Water], which had quite a few experienced drivers in a bit of trouble............ these top guys are so slick, it is unbelievable what they can do, tandems need particularly neat driving skills.
I had a good day, even my gate duty was relieved by seeing HRH, and other Top Brass.

I went along for a little while to watch, it was fab! Some amazing driving skills! So if anyone spotted a blonde woman with a blue cardie and milk bottle legs, that was me! :D

I saw you at the gate Miss L Toe, came up after we'd been round to take pics, in time for Louise M in the pairs.
I think obstacle 4 was jubilee water, i got some fab pics of the Irish horse pair tipping his groom out.
Sologirl we are all still there tomorrow, is time for the cones so all dressed up again for a play round in the main arena, its a good day aswell.
Also if you stay in that area in the middle of september there is a club event at Dalmeny, so dressage and cones on the saturday and then marathon day on the Sunday and its another beautiful setting
Sorry i missed you Sologirl, our class starts at 1020 tomorrow if you're about then, come and say hello.
