Anyone going to The Royal Festival Of The Horse show at Stoneleigh on either the 9th, 10th and 11th July?
Wasn't sure if I should go or not?
Anyone know anything about it, I have just looked at there website, it looks like it's going to be a good one to visit.
What's everyone else doing?
Are you competing there or just going as a spectator, or if you decided against going, why?
The tickets are quite expensive to buy, so thought i'd ask everyones opinions first before i decide whether to go or not.

Is this the 'replacement' show for horses in place of the Royal Show? Won't be going as too far for us but would be interested to hear how well supported it was.

We had the leaflet offering 20% off too. Wondered about going, more to scope out whether it would be worth getting a trade stand there in future. Stoneleigh is fairly handy for us so if it is good then we'd consider doing it.

I'm going - seems to be quite a lot there and I know of quite a lot of people competing!

But I haven't had a 20% voucher, where did you get these?!!!!

This show is not far from me so will definately be going. I'm looking forward to seeing Edward Gal on Friday and might also go along on Saturday too, does anyone know which showjumpers have been confirmed?

Tbh I am not sure - probably says somewhere on the website?

Just had a look, looks like quite a few, from B Maher to the Whitakers... Thinking perhaps I might need to drag myself away from the shopping though - haven't had a decent spell of equine retail therapy in far too long!! :-/

I think I might go to have a look, not too far away, i spoke with my friend said that she's entered, but the entry fees are expensive and people were moaning as you get one pass per horse to get in apparently. Bit naughty i say.

im going as missed out on a few big horsey shows lately, plus got a new horse and want to some shopping, partner non=horsey watched the express eventing at cardiff on h&ctv and like it so going watch that. Plus if he comes he was always treats me so can spend more money.
it was a toss up doing that or going to york for robiinsons and rideaway etc, but didnt think that was fair on an non horsey oh x

And if he is anything like my oh he will drag his heels around a horse supermarket, a bit like he does in the human ones!!!! ;-)

Keen to find out where people got the discount info?

I'm going bought 2 tickets - one for birthday present and THEN the BHS issue 20% off vouchers - not so good when i have just bough 2 full price tickets! For Sunday - am hoping it's worth the money. Fortunately i live on the door step so won't have far to travel.

I'm going now!Just booked flights to be there for the Saturday. Will someone pm me about where to get the 20 % off tickets please.
Does anyone know which retailers will be there, I have a need for a ventilated hat, lightweight, for Endurance and jumping.
Thanks in advance cant wait!!!

Think you have to be a member of an organistation - some friends of mine have got them from the BHS now too...

Quite a shopping list now on the show website, I know somebody trying to book in last minute with a little shop and they are really stuck on spaces to put them now. They do hats but I prob shouldn't say who incase I'm accidentally advertising! ;-)

I can't decide if I want to go two days...

If I am not doing anything I was thinking of going up on the Friday "dressage day." That seems to be quite a good idea to have a different theme for each day.

It is to replace all the horse classes that used to be at the Royal Show, because the horse section was very well supported. I gather it is going to be a sort of outdoor Horse of the Year Show, with many trade stands, at least I hope so.

Hard to get a new show/event right the first time, but it isn't too far away from me and it might be interesting to have a wander round.

If you are a BHS member you will get 20% off the ticket price, however, if you have an insurance policy with Petplan, you will get £5 off the ticket price. :)

Will probably have a look round on the Sunday, not far for us to go :D

I have had an email through saying its buy one get one free on tickets for this (today only it seems...)

Looked on twitter and it directed me to the show website, all tickets are on offer until later today!!

Being well and truly fed up with the football already - I'd like England to do well, but fed up of hearing about football in general ;-) - I like their thinking behind this offer!!

I was going to get tickets for this, then when I had a look at the prices it's £20 to get in then £20 for a seat. Does anyone know if you have to have a seat to watch all the special performances, or whether you can still watch them from somewhere else without paying extra for a grandstand ticket. Won't be paying £40 for it that's for definite.

Have just booked 2x three day entrance passes and seats for the Dressage day for £55... so two of us will get in for all three days and to watch the dressage for £27.50 each. Happy with that!! Have a keen interest in the showing over the weekend too so has worked out very well for me!

Fingers crossed this wetaher holds out! Foaling is now over so can afford to leave home and enjoy myself a bit.

Umm... I think the parking is free? Hope so - otherwise it'll cost as much as the tickets!!!
