Have just posted this in veterinary, but in case no-one goes there tonight, anyone that has some left over, could you describe your pergolide pills for me please?

I may have taken one by mistake yesterday, so am curious to know so I can let my over-worked, harassed GP know what it was I swallowed so happily yesterday that caused some rather unpleasant side effects :(

A small salmon pink tablet, with a divide line in the middle so can be eaily broken. I suspect they aren't too dangerous for humans if you only took one, but don't take my word for that.

- oops just read the bit about your side effects - I won't test one then!

That's an exact match, thank you very much. What size dose is that?

I reacted very badly, and went from GP surgery to A&E in an ambulance, due to hypotension (very low blood pressure) plus other side effects. Not to be recommended! No wonder they withdrew it.

Thats one tablet a day for a 500 kg pony, I think humans also take one a day and that horses take a proportionately much smaller does for their bodyweight. I vaguely seem to recall that, but again don't take it as fact. They are quite small tablets and hard to find if you drop one, even worse if you drop half of one.

ets Pracsend 1mg tablets, the same as human pergolide basically though, just rebranded.

Be positive - does it say how many milligrams it is? Is yours the same as slimjim's?

My GP is already fed-up with me keep going in with horse related injuries, but the pharmacist had a good laugh when I went back today and said I thought I had taken a pergolide :)

Unfortunately she didn't have it in her encyclopaedia of pills, because it has been withdrawn and she doesn't know anyone who takes it anymore. Except me of course.
