none here in n shropshire either ???? 
had two apple trees give a bumper crop and one with nothing at all and also only seen one lonely wasp all summer long 
not that i'm complaining !
one thing we've had all summer and still going strong is midges
horses really hating them even the ones that dont normally get pestered by them !
hopefully we are due a good summer next year
