Saw them in the sale on the Derby house website and wondered if they were any good? My Muckboots have died after a year, and they're not used that heavily.

They are comfy, but the pair I had only lasted a few months before splitting and leaking. I wouldn't waste my money on them now. :(

Dammit I knew they looked too good to be true. I know everyone raves about Muck boots but mine were rubbish... Split between the plastic and neoprene, killed all my socks and rubbed my heels.

Any other wellie suggestions? I need neoprene ones as I get really cold feet! Don't want to spend a fortune either...

I want the moon on a stick really! Hehe

I have the Dublin Deluxe, have just bought a new pair as my old ones wore through after 3 years. I wear them all winter as they are so warm, for a good 2-3 hours a day. I love them!

nice and warm but went through 2 pairs in 4 months - they kept leaking through the right heel... gave up in the end and they have sat in the tack room since - wouldnt waste my money on them if i were you

Mine are 18 months old and going strong, just bought another pair as my local store had them for 29 squid so I have a spare pair.

Those that have had splits, do you drive in them?

Dunlop green wellies with black sole - £6.99 plus a good pair of thermal socks! I average 14mnths per pair, so great value for money.

I gave up on 'posh' wellies years ago, as was continously disappointed with the quality.

On my second pair in their second year. My first pair developed a tiny split after about a year ( i did drive in them), but they were very comfortable so i went for a second pair. When i bought them they were the most reasonable neoprene lined wellies on the market.

Don't think wellies are designed for driving, if you can get into the habit of changing your boots (faff I know) but they will last longer.

These are great for the money really warm and a substantial boot.

I didn't drive in mine, they were worn for doing the horses and walking dogs.

I've also had massive disasters with Muckboots and Hunters. My 'better' wellies have been Le Chameau, Just Toggs Mudruckers, although I've heard that some of these have been useless, and Ariat Mubusters, but I don't wear the Ariats much as I find they rub my heels.
