And are they worth the expense.

I know its a strange time of year to be looking at wellies but need some more anyway. Have had Joules n Hunters and both have not been very good.

My OH has them and he'd say they're worth the money

Yes definitely so! I bought mine about 5 or 6 years ago - just the basic ladies ones but neoprene lined - and they're still as comfy and look as good as when I first got them.

I love them, best wellies in my opinion and well worth the £60-£70 they cost back then

I haven't seen any for less than £120 tbh and am not sure what neophane is but they are starting to sound popular so I might give them a go.

YESSSS!!! Buy some, best wellies ever!
Mine have the zips down the side and are neoprene lined, had for for 6 years and still going. Through the winter I never have them off my feet. Well worth the money

I had my last pair for about 12 years - with the outlast lining so really warm in winter. They are still going strong now with a fantastic grippy sole they cost me £130 new. My OH bought me some more this year - the leather lined ones with the full zips, oh bliss. Seriously comfortable, very warm and a great fit. Yes they cost £170 but I expect another 10 years out of them and I wear them every day from about September to April.

Hunters used to last me about 6 months and the soles were truly useless. No grip so hopeless in wet mud. And they would split across the sole. At £45 a pair they worked out far far far more expensive than my £130 boots.

I would not buy another make now. Le Chameau every time.

OH has the neoprene ones and he loves them - stops any whingeing at cold team chase events! He also wears them for shooting and for his work, which is on very cold, wet waste sites.
He bought them about four years ago and they still look as good as new.

Yes have had two different types of Le Chamaeu, first pair Le Chameau ladies All Tracks, these are these cheapest still very good though. Now I have bought the Le Chamaeu ladies Vizernord(sp) they have a gusset down the side, and are neoprene lined, the only thing I find with them they are narrow in the calf and with jeans tucked in were quite tight to get on even with gusset open, my calf measurment over socks is 13inches so if you have big calves I would try them on first. I bought mine off internet £130 so didnt realise what they would be like, so I went on a diet and lost half a stone, and they are easier now! But I reccomend Le Chamaeu 100% not slippy underneath like Hunters.

Another yes from me!

I have two pairs, a neoprene lined one and a leather lined one - fab boots, wouldn't want to wear anything else!

If - like a lot of us - you wear nothing but wellies in the winter then YES and don't skimp - skimp on your going out shoes or the ones you only wear from time to time.

Friend ruptured their archilles tendon. Physio said that wearing badly supporting shoes (in his case cheap wellies) day in day out was a major contributing cause.

So whatever you buy, make sure they give good foot support!!
