Horse at yard has what feels like hard boney calcification (I'm guessing here as not xrayed, but it is hard and not moveable)between coronet band and fetlock esp bad on near front but has on other leg too.Thought sidebone at first but after looking thru internet could be high ringbone as maybe?? too high for side bone??.
I am really angry for poor horse as see this a owners fault -it got shod on Saturday past as one of liveries has now taken over care if owners pay bills etc ,last time it was shod NOV 2009 -thats not a misprint !!!
Livery had vet up prior to getting shod was told tendons may be compramised due to long unbalanced feet and to get vets back when shod for a bit as really couldn't see anything
Feet had been left to grow til shoes fell off not trimmed.Only bl**dy reason got shod was cos liveries moaned and nagged even then it took months.
How long would this take to show up as does seem worse now its shod.
Am really taking this to much toO heart and needed to vent a bit!!!!!Some folk just deserve a right good slap!!Preferably a lot more!

My friends horse has it in the fetlock joints of his front legs, articular/low (??) rather than high?! I don't completely understand it. But anyway you can't see or feel it, you can only see it on x-rays and he is quite advanced now, only really field sound.

How did you guess WT!
No just given up looking after him well for last 2 yrs!!.Actually they think its ok to just check on him once a week on a diy yard!!AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!They had declined previous offers of looking after him in return for riding tho were quite happy for person to look after without the riding DOUBLE AAAAAAAARRRRRRGH!!
A is going to look after him til he's sold apparently (worth meat money at moment imo)this is after much badgering to YO from myself and another livery. If he's going to be sold why is he moving across road, have told A can't help out as have my 3 and A struggles health wise with her 2!
Poor lads not having a good time, given he's a bolshy git with no manners(not his fault hardly any human handling) his tails been eaten/rubbed away to the length of his tailbone, mane rubbed away with full neck rug put on at beginning of winter not taken off til spring and that was by a livery, his feet were VERY overgrown as you can imagine after 6 months growth so was lame with that and noticable muscle wastage on upper near front leg and now these hard lumps.
I spend far to much time getting annoyed by this!!!and that annoys me in itself lol
