Anyone hacking out on their own this evening?

Hi, I'm busy (uhum) at work thinking about tonight's hack, There's not really anyone else about to hack out with, so I've been going out on my own but get a bit lonely really!! Who else is hacking out this evening after work on their own? At least I can ride along knowing I'm not so alone if I know someone somwhere is out at the same time!!
 
In general I always hack out on my own, although I go out early in the morning as I work evenings

I shall be hacking on my own tonight, I dont' actually mind it as my horse is quick and has a massive step he normally has to wait for others to catch up - and he has no patience.

I prefer to change my routes around so I'm not always doing the same route.

I find it a great way to de-stress after work
 
I shall be hacking on my own this evening - twice!! I must admit to listening to my ipod sometimes when out on my own. I usually just have 1 earphone in so I can still hear whats going on around me.
 
I usually always hack on my own. Although company is nice for a blether, I never get the opportunity to work my horse quite as much as I would normally, so I quite like hacking alone, just me and my pony!

I use my hacking to get her fit/keep her fit, so tend to do lots of trotting, cantering (where it's suitable) and quite like the 1-1 time.

Me no doubt, usually do despite risking life and limb on a mare that doesn't do heavy traffic (particularly tractors which aint good considering we are surrounded by crops farmers) and she has a tendency to spook at pretty much everything that moves.

To be honest there is not a great deal of people to hack out with, the odd few go at different times, and others don't ride regularly so you can't rely on them to ride out with neither, but I don't mind just my own company actually, usually have one way conversation with the horse I'm riding anyway!
Have said that I rode out with my friend last night, we had a blast round the headlands although the grass was rather long, you know when those prickly bushes are hidden in the undergrowth....probably explains the disunited canters we kept breaking into, she was being prickled loll!

I will be hacking alone again, I just hope I see the van that accelerated up our arse last night and missed us by six inches, Will make sure I get the companys number tonight..
 
Depends on the neighbours. If the "hairy cobs" are coming out Sapphy and I will enjoy their company. Otherwise we will go for a wander ourselves. Whichever we do we shall be eaten alive - there seem to be more horse flies than room for biting this year. I have been getting up and riding early to avoid the brutes but I slept in (shame) this morning. The b****s seem to actively enjoy every fly spray/wipe I can find.
 
I'll be hacking out on my own - I usually do! Unfortunately hacking with others is usually too much for Flynn to handle. It is just SOOO exciting it blows his little mind!

I'll be hacking out in my own and riding the other one in the school!

Rose is so fast it's esier to ride alone and no time to get bored either. She does slow down when Nannying another horse, so is a good girl.

The other one is not up to going it alone yet!
 
Me too....always on my own. I have got used to it now, but on the odd occasion when I do go out with someone I really love the company. Sadly my horse's field companion is hardly ever ridden and it's a shame because he is a lovely Sec D.
 
Yep I am off into the Great Park tonight, 99% of the time I hack alone, company is nice every now and again but nothing quite like it being just you and your trusty steed

I also will be hacking on my own. We always do unless we arrange to meet up with some chums somewhere (involves taking the trailer so doesn't happen very often). Will be leaving it till later till a bit cooler and less liklihood of meeting tractor or lorry. Have fun everyone and enjoy your ponies to the full

I'll be going on my own, if we make it past the bull in the field on the drive i will endeavour to get up the lane and into the woods. However horsey has an aversion to cattle at the mo, and trembles when he see's any, cant be nice for him...
 
I've been out on my own today. Shame I didn't have anyone to share the galloping in our stubble fields with.

ill be going on my own twice , i dont mind its ok sometimes my boyfriend will cycle along wih me which he enjoys but i just go out myself most of the time no 1 else to go with
 
I normally hack on my own, apart from maybe once at the weekend. But in the week i'm out by 6am

R's quite forward going, and we do have to stop and wait if we ride out with others, but we can have a bit of a faster hack by myself.
 
Provided the farrier has bashed another shoe on, then H boy and I will be off to the woods tonight.

90% of the time I hack with my OH, so it is a little bit of an adventure to be out on our own. We can go where we like, as fast or slow as we like and be as silly as we like without getting tutted at, after all, boys will be boys
