Horse lost shoe this morning riding in school (9am) we were at walk and she walked over a pole then immediately after she was dog lame in front. Jumped off and realised she has lost a shoe. She did a couple of duff steps in school but then was fine as I led her out. Got on concrete to get back to and Ive never seen her so bad, when she loses shoes yes she is footy but never this bad.
Got her to field where once she hit the mud it was like nothing had happened.
My amazing farrier was there at 11 to put it back on, it went back on fine but she was still a bit footy, especially on a turn.
He is thinking she may have knocked herself too as he was expecting her to be perfect once shoe back on.
Been told to give her a couple days as see how she is next week, he is back Wednesday anyway for another horse so can look at her again if Im worried.
Just looking for a bit of reassurance really. She was footy walking back to field but once in the mud you wouldnt believe the hooning about.
