what did you think?

Theres an opportunity for area 4 rc members to get a place on a clinic with him (it'll be one member from each of the 14 clubs) so might have a punt at getting on it!

i haven't had a lesson with him myself, but know of people who have and really rate him.
have also met him a few times through work and really respected his ideas and methods.
would definitely go for it!

Our RC is pulling names out of a hat for this. I've put mine in, obviously, and we're a small RC so I should have a chance but I bet it's won by someone who doesn't even jump! ;)

I emailed him/his office to try to arrange instruction for our riding club but unfortunately did not get a reply. I would haved loved the opportunity for our rc members to have been taught by him.

I did a RC course with him about 18yrs ago, he was great then and i only ever hear good things about him. He is certainly no "fluffy bunny" trainer though! :)

No help - but I got his autograph when I was tiny, didn't know who he was, certainly hadn't appeared in Pony magazine yet ;) but I said I liked his baseball cap and he gave it to me! Was very pleased when I started to see him doing well.

Sorry no help on the lesson front - but he seems like a real people person. Daughter asked him for his autograph when she was younger, he went to give it to her then pretended to run away and this went on for about 5 mins. She's always liked him since then :D

Never had a lessons but been to a few of his demos and have his book, they were fantastic and his training methods really work! He really understands horses. :)

I have - albeit about 12 years ago. Had a fantastic time, my TB never jumped so well. He is very blunt, talks straight to the point and made me laugh when he told my then instructor off for wasting his time while cantering circles before a jump. Never forget it.
I would LOVE another lesson with him anyday, so go for it.
Just a word of warning, don't over boot your horse, several people got told off for putting 'armour' on their horses legs!!!
