Taking a very expensive racehorse out on roadwork, just back in work, and got hit by a trailer
Limping horse... blood on road and lots of stress later :mad::( think horse is going to be ok.

Meant to take another TB out for schooling, but wouldn't load, reared up and went over so spent two horses 'playing' with the trailer, and eventually had him loading happily so called it a day after that!

Can't wait for today to end!

Oh you poor thing and poor horse, I'm guessing you are okay? Hope that the racehorse makes a full and speedy recovery.

And at least you ended on a good note! Hope he remembers that the trailer isn't scary for the next time you have to load him!

I think you deserve a nice glass of wine and some ice cream!
Tx

I think they will both be ok. The horse that wouldn't load I was given for free, phoned his old owner, apparently the person who had him before her tried to load him in a small cattle trailer (baring in mind its 16.2hh tb!), with 7 people pulling him and chasing him in with whips, which has left the poor thing with some issues. Eventually got him happily munching some chaff in the trailer with the doors closed! Just needs time, I had set aside an hour to load, but got a bit delayed by earlier incident!

It was the trailer that hit the horse, he didn't slow down much and the trailer was metal, with metal stuff being transported unsecured within it so rattled a lot, horse is normally 100% with traffic but jumped (was standing quitely on narrow lane) and got caught between the car and trailer.
Man driving stopped to tell me I had dented the trailer! Then I told whos horse it was and how much it was worth, so he said sorry a lot then started chain smoking until the owner arrived!

Another ooo whos horse?
Not quite as bad as yours although did have a near death experience, i just am grateful decided to lunge not ride- low flying chinook and ex racer doesn't mix too well!
