A friend has a lovely but unbelievably sharp young event horse by Arctic Lord - when I say sharp, I mean Pedigree-Chum-type-sharp - but BOY does it jump!

Does anyone else have any Arctic Lord progeny? Is this typical of them? Are they usually decent jumping horses? Would be interested to know as will be keeping an eye out for any of his stock in the sales.
 
You probably wont see many come up for sale these days as i should think he has been dead a while.
usually dark in colour with little white on them if any and definately sharp but can be talented if there brains allow.
By Lord Gayle who was a good sire of jumpers.
I cant see any racing stock born after 2000 by him on the racing post website

Sounds like an Arctic Lord. Very nice,very talented, but far too wise to be much good on the track.
 
i have his grandson..he is a 2yr old colt..at the moment he is low on his pasterns but i am hoping this will improve..i have advertised him at a meagre 250 to reflect this but do need him to go to a good home as he is a real sweetie
 
Sorry for digging up an old post, but I have Mr Monoman, Arctic lord was his sire. He raced for a while, but he is now my baby, i'm reschooling him and so far, so good, and oh yes, he can jump!!!!
His dam is Emmodee, does anyone else have any horses from her?
Mr Monoman (aka captain) is nearly 12, but looks and acts about 5. Completely bay with darker points. A few white hairs on his forehead, but you have to look for them. He's 16hh and very fine, tiny feet, small head. As stubborn as a mule when he doesn't want to do something. But I love him.
